Can someone please explain the differences among these three glucose test terms?

1.  Average Glucose A1C

2.  Hemoglobin A1C

3.  Glucose

These terms were taken form a pamphlet about diabetes.  I never got a chance to read it all.  I know, of course, what glucose is.  And I understand what "average glucose A1C is.  Hemoglobin A1C is, I suppose, blood glucose.  I never heard of that.  My curiosity is how does each differ from  the other two?  Why three different kinds of tests?  Thank you.
