It is because a number multiplied by itself 350 times starts to repeat a pattern and equals half a rotation.

Golden ratio x mathematical rotations / Feigenbaum constant = bifurcation per full rotation

 

Golden ratio x (repeated multiplication with itself 700) / Pi = mathematical rotation

Irrational numbers take on different patterns -repeating strings, palindromes, etc.- depending on the radix of the numbering system used to express them.

PS so too for rational numbers, if that wasn't obvious.
