I have just been reading a long thread that i want to respond to some specific points contained within. How do I copy certain points within the thread? If i hit the quote button the whole thread comes up, not just a particular part of it that i want. Im fairly new to this forum so please excuse my ignorance, thought id ask the question instead of playing around, and end up deleting my reply by mistake.

Thought id try it for myself on my own thread

You need to close the text with:

[/QUOTE]

You left the open square bracket and the slash off the closing "quote"

Just change the <> characters to [] characters in my example, ie

[ quote=buffy]You left the open square bracket and the slash off the closing "quote"[ /quote]

***Note: I added spaces right after the ['s so the software wouldn't parse it....***
