GAHD

I'm first going to point out that you seem to be understanding homogeneous wrong: it means "the same."

The USA is NOT culturally homogeneous, unlike nearly all the other countries on your list there.

That's where we have to disagree. The US is as culturally homogenous as those other countries but hasn't accepted it's black people as being the same.

I'm going to point out that that is a cherry picked subset of data.

Go to source, the studies get interesting when you look at them. Particularly "overall" in comparison to that cherry picked subset. "Quality of life" is another way of saying "how happy I feel" and does not include things like freedom, fiscal mobility, nepotism, corruption, retirement age and ability, crime rate, etc... look at the actual data not what some editorial CLAIMS is the data.

Really? You think that quality of life is the same as being happy? I've made the point that Americans are propagandized into believing they're happy when in fact the majority are being cheated out of piece of the pie. The majority of the American people don't know 'happy'.

Freedom =

A good job market

Affordability

Economic stability

Family friendly

Income equality

Politically stable

Safety

Well-developed public health system

Well-developed public education system

I can't address you list of what you think makes you 'happy' so  why not narrow it down to one that can be addressed. How about 'retirement age and ability', whatever that means?

Ah you mean the thing that he's been doing everything he legally can to force through while the opposition is doing everything to block with red tape. That bit about funding a couple years back was particularly enlightening to anyone who paid attention, especially the kickstarter responses.

Your Scotus just disagreed with Trump on the Dreamers. Not to suggest that your corrupt Scotus is always right. I should have just told you that Trump has only kept 18% of his promises and ended it there.

In order: China(who now can have occupying forces in our boarders due to a trade deal sub clause),

"Our" being who? The question was, what enemies does Canada have? China has no occupying forces within Canada's borders. That's silly!

every country related to extremist Islam (the kill all

kafir types), any country that falls into dictatorial practices (Canada itself qualifies as of this moment due to the suspension of our elected representatives ratifying acts given force of law).

Well, I guess the 'our' means you're talking as a Canadian now. Canada has made enemies by allying with the US aggression on the Arabian peninsula. A large and powerful military would just be a waste of money if it was intended to stop REVENGE attacks. A more suitable approach would be for Canada to make reparations for it's part in the slaughter.

Is it your intention to discuss everything or would you prefer to discuss one issue in some detail?

If this was a Sid Mires game I'd roll over Canada on principle, the ONLY deterrent is defense pact with the USA.

Sid Mires game? You could explain but please don't.

Where did you get this statistic from? Are you talking ELECTIVE/COSMETIC surgery (like breast augmentation and nose jobs) or HEALTH CARE like stints, bypass surgery, and organ transplants? Very important distinctions there, because LOTS of "medical tourism" from north America goes to Brasil for cosmetics, or South Korea for elective genetic/hormonal treatments.

If you choose to discuss health care in detail, I'll elaborate further. For now, suffice to say, much of it is in search of affordable health care. (I'm all for choosing this one as our topic)

I don't have many personal heath problems. I still have to pay for the people who DO have them weather I like it or not. I then also have to pay for the things I need when I need them. Ive done the math, for me as a healthy individual I am/have pay/ing almost triple what I would if I lived in Texas or Florida instead of Manitoba. (again; Dental, occasional antibiotics, couple knee injury diagnostics.)

Paying for everybody's health care is a part of being a country. It's also one of the factors that make a high 'quality of life'.

Like as if the US health care system isn't broken and rated the worst of the modern developed countries. (more to follow if you can narrow down your scattergun approach, as I keep suggesting)

I simply don't agree that other people deserve a portion of my money to pay for their problems. Especially when the government mismanages that money with "slush funds." You REALLY need to look into how the Canadian government manages it's public health services when you make those kinds of claims. Diagnostic/specialist wait times alone take months to years that often results in "if we had caught it sooner" mortality. This is why the supreme court repealed the "no private system" laws when the lawsuit was filed.

So to refer back to the US system of greed and callous disregard for it's citizens' wellbeing, they think that they don't have to care about others. In Canada we've made the choice to care and so if you live in Canada then you need to understand that other people deserve a portion of your money in taxes paid by you.

Justices of the Supreme Court of Canada have noted that patients in Canada die as a result of waiting lists for universally accessible health care. Numerous studies point not only to this reality but also to the reality that wait times can have an impact on general health and well-being, which may also result in untimely demise.

Canada's health care again! Are you now choosing to make this about that, as opposed to US issues and specifically riots? If so I'm good with it.

Many Americans don't even have health care insurance and so they die earlier because of their lack of preventative measures. My guess is that it's about a third of Americans now, due to being out of work. Let me know what you think if we choose health care as our topic?

sorry for the buggered up quotes but I don't have time to fix it.

In this post you've shown you are unable to provide data for any of your claims. You've also shown you do not understand what words mean even after the definition has been provided to you. Educate and arm yourself with facts and data rather than superstition and hearsay.

Continuing on now that I've got another 15 minutes to spare where I can hopefully raise the low intellectual bar that has been set for you in BC(The public education system obviously failed you):

That list is not "freedom." That list is "stuff that Montgomery wants." Neither job market, affordability of services, or ANYTHING else on your list is "freedom" those are all LUXURIES. Learn what words actually mean or you will always be a fool. "A man may take to drink because he feels himself to be a failure, and then fail all the more completely because he drinks. It is rather the same thing that is happening to the English language. It becomes ugly and inaccurate because our thoughts are foolish, but the slovenliness of our language makes it easier for us to have foolish thoughts."-Orwell

Freedom means:

  • the power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants without hindrance or restraint.
  • absence of subjection to foreign domination or despotic government.
  • the state of not being imprisoned or enslaved.

That's just being rude, of course I can provide data (links), but I'm not going to try to get into your crapshoot of topics. We need to cover one topic and do it justice.

Cheap shots from a moderator aren't helpful. We're trying to carry on a discussion on a level playing field right now and GAHD is perfectly capable of holding up his end of it without you.

You want links so here's one on freedom. All the qualities listed that make a high quality of life fit into your list of what freedom means.

https://www.worldatlas.com/articles/10-freest-countries-in-the-world.html

quoted from that link: "A country's freedom has a direct correlation with happiness among residents."

There's more similarity than not to my link on quality of life. And you'll notice that the US doesn't make it to the top ten in this one either.

The opinion of one random uncredited no-biography psudonym "Joseph Kiprop" does not trump the LITERAL DEFINITION of a word. Wake up, stop being an idiot, stop having foolish thoughts by trying to redefine the language to suit your warped view.

Seriously?

They fluoridate the water which causes the pineal grand to calcify which disconnects people from their true spiritual selves because the pineal gland is the source of endogenous DMT production. I'm not sure how far along that sentence I believe but that's the story believed many. I'm communing with the ancestral spirits/hyper dimensional space aliens/machine elves/angels/demons/projections of my own subconscious later today so I'll ask them.

I do too if I'm honest, in small doses at least, I'm not sure I could put up with it for too long. :) I was thinking more of New York. That and Northern Ireland are the worst accents ever! Standard Irish is lovely though.

Nice.

I totally agree with what you said about the fluoridation of water. I can tell you didn't have to much.

OH New York? Wader that's how they say water.

I am not sure I heard Northern Irelands accent. Although I had a Guinness in the airport which was fantastic on tap.

I just 'knew' you wouldn't like my link but I didn't think you would say it suited my warped view! Did you read the following from that link?

The freedom of a country was measured by the Freedom House Organization for their adherence to the guidelines set out by the UN's

Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

You kept asking for links and so I thought you would like something of substance more than me being lazy and looking up the meaning of freedom from some dictionary?

And I did so much think it would please you because of how it rated Canada so highly?

Oh well, maybe we can have more fun' with health care?'
