bearnard55 Posted February 26, 2021 Report Posted February 26, 2021 In the modern world, science and technology are fast-growing things, and as we can see a lot of new space technologies are about to be produced or invented. Which one do you expect the most and which one do you think might be the most useful for humans or for space exploration? Quote
hazelm Posted March 10, 2021 Report Posted March 10, 2021 The possibility of resettlement on other planets. The problems are beyond counting. But, "never say never". This universe is not yet dead. Quote

I think it's more advantageous for humans to spend the time and resources on the planet Venus, than to do anything with Mars. Mars has history significance, but has no future for us. Venus holds the future. The future of Venus is our present. Earth will continue to move away from the Sun, and so will Venus. That means In the future Earth will be where Mars is today, and Venus will be where we are today. Given more time, Venus' atmosphere will evolve to one like ours today, it will thin out and temperatures will cool on the planet. Venus is our future, and Mars is ancient history. spartan45 Posted March 10, 2021 Report Posted March 10, 2021 I’m not sure which space technologies are about to be produced or invented but below are some concepts that I think sound exciting: The fact of ‘spooky action at a distance’ which might allow for instant distant teleportation:‘Will we ever be able to teleport? - Sajan Saini’ Ref: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JMdO5KyjwAw :seems stranger to me than the fiction of StarTrek’s Discovery Spore drive concept, especially after seeing the YouTube clip mentioning mushrooms: ‘Joe Rogan Is Stunned By Paul Stamets Stories About the Multiverse’ Ref: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=01mKyn_Gwcs What if a new space technology could allow a craft accelerate to hypersonic speed in the blink of an eye while not generating heat or a sonic boom at low altitude and able to disappear straight up into space? ‘The 2004 USS Nimitz UFO Incident | Contact’ Ref: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=85OhTbTtK_I The initial space exploration I’m hoping to see are Moon Bases where planetary living can be tried and tested, then onto to Mars with perhaps a small outpost on Phobos. But, "never say never". This universe is not yet dead. I consider it`s too early to talk about colonization of other planets. As far as we know there are no such planet in the Solar system that can allow us live there. Mars and Venus have harsh environment to live on. The situation on other planets is even worse. I consider that we can find such planet in another galaxy but we cannot talk about that with a confidence Quote
bearnard55 Posted March 11, 2021 Author Report Posted March 11, 2021 I liked the way how microsatellites are developing and how they partialy substitute ordinary sats. This is a cheaper and easier way for some missions ordinary sats used to do. Also, we may use microsats bigger number of fields that only emphasis their competence. Satellite technology take part in our everyday live, so we cannot imagine our precent world without sat technology Quote
bearnard55 Posted March 11, 2021 Author Report Posted March 11, 2021 Also, I`d like that the new kind of propulsion system will be invented. The new kind that will allow us making long space journeys and visit planets in the Solar system and in other galaxies. Quote
spartan45 Posted March 19, 2021 Report Posted March 19, 2021 Local solar system travel is all very well, but in the entertaining sci-fi series ‘The Orville’ the star ship uses a ‘Quantum Drive’. I thought that is a great name for an interstellar drive. What if such a drive could propel a craft up to a theoretical speed of say 100,000 times the speed of light? ‘Dr. Schild's Opinion of the Bob Lazar Area 51 Allegations’ Ref: https://youtu.be/K8tuOX2nkH0 bearnard55 1 Quote

Actually, it will take a century to invent such spacecraft if to tale into the consideration the most advanced spaceships we are having now. We cannot even travel to other planet in the Solar system, it`s not a piece of cake to build such space ship Quote

I believe in the existence of some intelligent forms of life somewhere in other galaxies, so it`s might be quite possible that such creatures have a spacecraft that can travel with the speed of light or even more advanced) Quote
