freeztar Posted November 7, 2008 Report Posted November 7, 2008 Yeah the pen is mightier than the sword, when the pen is needle sharp, and tipped with poison and thrown from across the room, but really you're better off with a sword. :epizza: True enough... And a sword will *always* work! It seems that every pen I pick up has a problem with impotence. :)Shouldn't we have the whole "ball point" thing sorted by now? :) Quote

William Honey Posted November 7, 2008 Report Posted November 7, 2008 Yeah the pen is mightier than the sword, when the pen is needle sharp, and tipped with poison and thrown from across the room, but really you're better off with a sword. Re: The pen is mightier than the sword! Ah research! The battle in which Rameses could not win at the east endof the Mediterainen Sea. As I recall it was the Hicksos which was a newpower of the area. It was a bloodbath and men were dying like flies on bothsides. Then Rameses turned statesman and called a halt to the battle. Ramesesdrew up a treaty and presented it to the Hicksos and they accepted it andboth generals received gifts from each other. Rameses received a virginto take back as a wife. Hence the pen and the treaty did what the swordcould not do, it stopped the battle and many lives were saved. How muchis a life worth :phones: Many other battles were also stopped by the pen and the treaty and millionsof lives have been saved with the pen that wrote the treaty. The pen is mightier than the sword is an old saying, it is not my sayingbut I do believe in that saying, as I do oppose war and world peace can notbe achieved through wars and more wars. If world peace is ever achieved, my thoughts are that it will be the penthat educates the people of the world, that war will only cause heartache! William : Turtle 1 Quote

William : Maybe the virgin did it, maybe she distracted him from war so he had more important things on his mind? Young virgin stops war, virgins seem to have had an important effect in ancient times! Turtle 1 Quote
