No, not the answer. BTW, Turtle is right, Bush Senior was the 41st president but this shouldn't change the answer to the riddle. Chalk another one up for the Turtle, wise man that he is......

___I knew that one becaue Shrub senior calls Shrub Junior 43 & Shrub Junior calls Shrub Senior 41.

There were 43 presidents AFAIK (or the 43rd is serving). Of those only 17 have served in the oval office. But I may be misunderstanding the riddle completely. :QuestionM
Yea, this riddle is becoming a bit confusing so I'll give the answer so we can move on:

 

Grover Cleveland held office during 2 nonconsecutive terms. He was our 22nd and 24th president. Therefore as of today, 43 presidents, but only 42 men have held the office.
