Turtle Posted December 20, 2005 Report Posted December 20, 2005 :cup: Roger that nine. Guess you got a free clue.:cup: Hint 9) It is not an idea, or anything ephemeral. This is a physical "thing" put together by humans of various physical "things". Hint 10) It is not a tank, but tank has too many connotaions to derive a singular new clue. At least you are all getting it right by guessing four-letter words.GETE Quote

Racoon Posted December 20, 2005 Report Posted December 20, 2005 its GUNS. ( i'm thinking toys and battle, ie play w/ tanks and guns.)and fire it does bear. Quote
Turtle Posted December 20, 2005 Report Posted December 20, 2005 Not guns or toys. In the first clues I gave, I used the word "ancient" & this means "as old or older than any written record". While "it" is often viewed as a toy, that is not its name. The four-letter name of "it" is singular tense; one "it".___Sorry I didn't format that as before; I am dancing as fast as I can.:cup: Quote
Racoon Posted December 20, 2005 Report Posted December 20, 2005 its a KHUA! :cup: how about another hint! Quote
Turtle Posted December 20, 2005 Report Posted December 20, 2005 ___It's not Khua, although that is very insigtful Racoon in view of the clues. The Khua is however not very well known & I don't make riddles that have answers common folk don't know. The "it" is known & recognized by virtually every-one. :cup: Quote

Turtle Posted December 20, 2005 Report Posted December 20, 2005 Club Not a club. The reference to battle use is one of the more arcane aspects of "it", inasmuch as many are not aware of "its" use in that venue. People more commonly know "it" as a plaything. That said, Hint 11) It has saved peoples' lives & it has taken peoples' lives.:cup: Quote
Racoon Posted December 20, 2005 Report Posted December 20, 2005 Alright Turtle-sanI just did a little research and found an answer that fits most of your clues and is something I know that you know about. :cup: It indeed is a toy that has been used in battle. It can be made of hempit is ancient and recognizedit can be very small or very largeit is 4 different letters KITE !!!If this isn't right I/we at least deserve another clue you scoundral! :cup: infamous 1 Quote
