Riddle me this:

 

There's a house not too far from a river.

It's winter, and cold.

There's a garage attached to the house, with a car inside.

The house is painted white.

The garage is facebrick.

There's a mug of coffee on the counter, cooling down.

There are no milk in the fridge.

In this house:

 

Can you tell me where the hell my car keys are?!?!?!

haha, maybe that should be the next riddle.... how did i come to that conclusion?

Well if it isn't in the coffee (somebody may have heard this riddle before?) perhaps it's in the car as it's not your car in the garage or your house you are talking about? Good description but nothing to say for certain that it is your house you are describing.

Nope. Found it IN THE WASHING MACHINE. It was in my jean's pocket.

 

But thanks for the help, guys - I might just keep searching for it, if only to disprove the old adage that whatever you're searching for is always in the last place you've looked.

yes, it seems as though the keys were never in the coffee mug after all :evil:. Unless the keys were soluble somehow.. in which case they may be in coffee

just dont tell her that.. umm well I know this is overanalysing (and riddles dont usually require it) but if the fats oil then it will make a thick mixture thinner..

Please give the specific example of this I had in mind when I made the riddle. As you have the right idea, it seems you have under-analyzed this one.;)
