freeztar Posted January 3, 2008 Report Posted January 3, 2008 Typewriter ribbon? :eek_big: Good guess, but not the answer I was looking for. :) Quote
Turtle Posted January 4, 2008 Report Posted January 4, 2008 Good guess, but not the answer I was looking for. :cup: I imagine not. Did we even still use typewriters after you was birfed? :) Charcoal is what is black when you get it, red when you use it, and white when you're done with it. :camera: :eek_big: Quote
freeztar Posted January 4, 2008 Report Posted January 4, 2008 I imagine not. Did we even still use typewriters after you was birfed? I was born right at the end of that era. I fondly remember the electronic typewriter we got when I was very young. It wasn't until dot matrix printers and word processing arrived that the typewriter was chucked. When I worked at Office Depot (gag!) in 2004, they had a full assortment of ribbons (the correction ones as well) and at least once a day someone would need assistance picking out the right ribbon (usually elder folk). So unfortunately, my answer to your question is yes.Charcoal is what is black when you get it, red when you use it, and white when you're done with it. 10-4 :hyper: Was the too big of a giveaway? Turtle Posted January 4, 2008 Report Posted January 4, 2008 10-4 Was the too big of a giveaway? I didn't get the fire pun until after I figured out the riddle. Q: Why did the man's dresser break when he put a tie in the drawer? :hyper: Quote
Racoon Posted January 4, 2008 Report Posted January 4, 2008 Q: Why did the man's dresser break when he put a tie in the drawer? He slammed the drawer shut so hard it broke the dresser... Quote
freeztar Posted January 4, 2008 Report Posted January 4, 2008 I didn't get the fire pun until after I figured out the riddle. :D Cool. Q: Why did the man's dresser break when he put a tie in the drawer? Because there was a person attached to the tie. :hyper: Or perhaps his dress-er was broken by the fact that the man didn't like the tie and put it away. Occam's Razor works well for riddles too, so I seriously doubt I have the answer thus far. Quote
Turtle Posted January 4, 2008 Report Posted January 4, 2008 He slammed the drawer shut so hard it broke the dresser... :hyper: Nopers. Because there was a person attached to the tie. Or perhaps his dress-er was broken by the fact that the man didn't like the tie and put it away. Nein; nicht das. Hint: homophones. Quote
