William Honey Posted October 17, 2008 Report Posted October 17, 2008 1-Fella stops his car at a hotel and suddenly realizes he's broke. Oddly enough - same thing happened with the horse and rider ;) 2-Fella gets on an elevator and goes to the 12th floor. He gets off the elevator and walks up 5 flights to floor 17 (where he lives). The elevator goes all the way up and it's not broken. :) (this one is not a particularly good riddle, but requires a bit of clever, out-of-the-box thinking) ~modest He gets off the elevator every day and walks up five flights for exercise ? pamela Posted October 18, 2008 Report Posted October 18, 2008 ok Honey, you are talking about the axe head that floated in the water as opposed to sinking as iron should havekey people - Elishalocation Jordan Quote

William *** YES PAM YOU ARE CORRECT, I AM THE AX THAT FLOATED IN THE WATER *** Here is my view on how the Ax floated in the water ? Clue one: The sea of people. The bible calls people a sea and or water ?Clue two: The human body is 72% water. Hence if a person (water) were to pass the Ax to another person (water)and then to the next person (water) then the Ax would be floating throughpeople (water) and that is my version of how the Ax floated in water. Maybe the riddlemasters here have a better explanation of how the Axfloated in the water, if you do, let me know, okay. William Quote
pamela Posted October 18, 2008 Report Posted October 18, 2008 Honey, I translate literally-when the stick was thrown in the water it went in at an angle- like you would throw a spear- it caught up under the axe top and floated to the surface Quote
freeztar Posted October 18, 2008 Report Posted October 18, 2008 hey Freeztar, does this cat live on the roof and there is no 13th floor? Nope. Keep trying! Quote
Moontanman Posted October 18, 2008 Report Posted October 18, 2008 How about this one. You are in a room with three gods, one is the god of truth, one is the god of lies and the other is the god of truth and lies. The god of truth only tells the truth, the god of lies only tells lies and the god of both only tells a lie or the truth at random. They can only answer in a language known only to them and they can only answer yes and no, ya and da in their language but you don't know what either word means. how can you ask them only three questions (total) to find out which one is which? pamela Posted October 18, 2008 Report Posted October 18, 2008 hey Freeztar, guy lives on 17th floor -works on 12th floor-walks home Quote
