Dinesh_college Posted September 14, 2005 Report Posted September 14, 2005 :eek2: What is the difference between Vapour,Air,Steam,Gas? Quote
Qfwfq Posted September 14, 2005 Report Posted September 14, 2005 Air is a mix of several gasses. Vapour is just a way of saying a gas of a substance that is also commonly found in liquid or solid state, e. g. water vapour which is also normally present in air. Steam is partly condensed water vapour, which means it has many tiny droplets in suspension. These diffuse light, giving the effect of white. We usually call it steam when it is coming from hot water, the droplets form when the air is less hot than the water that's evaporating. Apart from this there isn't much difference between steam from a kettle, fog and clouds in the sky. Quote
