nothing like a fruitless conversation to get you thinking in the morning

Or in a pop-culture vein:

"I love the smell of nothing in the morning!" -- Lt. Col. Naught Kilgore

You either surf or you fight, :)

"Well, there you have your common internet surfer. Typing away busily, the little critter looks around. See his pupils dilate! He's a beaut! Now he's looking closer at the screen. What will he do? He's lifting his finger... this is so awesome... Come, cobber... shhhh... wait for it..." [/steve Irvin Voice]

[Cue clickety click keyboard noise]

"Well, there you have it. A beautiful exaaample of the classical "Something-or-Nothing" instinctive response these beautiful critters show!

Next, we'll show their mating habits, where the common internet surfer dons the cloak of a beautiful teenaged version of the opposite sex in forums to get their rocks off! Scientists agree that if this habit continues, the common internet surfer will die out in a generation. It's sad, really. But the common internet surfer is a beautiful species, being very docile and tame. Lookit' him... this species can sit for hours and hours, not moving at all, save for their fingers... this might be a survival tool, sitting still so that predators can't see them. Crikey! He moved! Look, he's getting up! He's aiming for the coffee machine! It seems as if the common internet surfer lives mostly on coffee and crisps... But mostly they do nothing. Beautiful!

ROTFLMAO

:hyper:  :D :D

There's nothing funnier in this thread than THAT post.

Except for Buffy's Theory of the Neither, of course.

PS: OTOH, I "roll on the floor" all the time. :turtle: ;)

Yes, but if we leave it for long enough, then nothing will go away...and *then* what would we be left with?

Absence of absence,

Buffy

we would be left with nothing better than what we started with..

Finally a topic I know everything about!
That puts you at a disadvantage in this thread then, Michael. The rest of us know nothing about it!

Having to tell my kid this afternoon that turning nothing in for homework does not complete the assignment no matter what we say here,

what if one was do do an assignment on nothing - they would most certainly fail. For even thinking about turning in nothing would contridict the assignment topic

If you, in theory, say nothing - does that say something about your theory? If so, you have said something, which is off-topic. Or am I on to nothing?

Im quite sure you are trying to make nothing out of something..
