Tormod Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 Scienceguy: "I also believe that therapods came from bird ancestors which God created. Is that plain enough for everyone?" 1) Please provide some proof to your claim that there were animals with feathers before the feathered therodonta appeared (I have found none). Or otherwise explain what you mean by "bird ancestors". "If you want to discuss dinosaur evolution any further, please tell me why I am wrong on a scientific level. I have given you an explanation, give me yours." 2) That was aimed at Freethinker, but I believe I have provided you with lots of explanations which you fail to address. Like, for example, the rather important point that crocs are NOT remains of dinosaurs, that there are 23 species of crocs alive today (all from a common ancestor), which shows that crocs have NOT stayed the same in 65 million years as was claimed in this thread, but have evolved constantly into many different species. rileyj Posted April 24, 2004 Author Report Posted April 24, 2004 you know for a science chat site people spenda lot of time talking about religion. seems pointless Quote
Freethinker Posted April 25, 2004 Report Posted April 25, 2004 Religion tends to try to make any attempt at science pointless. Quote
a2ron15 Posted December 23, 2006 Report Posted December 23, 2006 Is it possible for dinosaurs to re-evolve from what they originally evolved from? For them to come among us once again through re-evolution? Quote
Boerseun Posted December 24, 2006 Report Posted December 24, 2006 Is it possible for dinosaurs to re-evolve from what they originally evolved from? For them to come among us once again through re-evolution?Doubtful. Dinos originally evolved to fill certain ecological niches. Besides the environment not being the same it was when dinos originally evolved, those niches are already filled by hairy mammals - so the apprentice dinos will face some fierce competition! Quote
