OceanBreeze Posted July 21, 2022 Report Posted July 21, 2022 So, this essay is from a “prize essay contest” and not from any scientific journal. I read it until I reached this hilarious sentence “Her experiment, however, opens the possibility of a human having mice parents, for if male and female chimeric mice mated, the zygote produced would be entirely human.” At that point I was laughing too hard to continue. When the researchers grow a human head on a cow that displays full human consciousness and autonomy, then I will consider the issue of granting personhood to a chimera. I hope that Boston University Arts & Sciences Writing Program will let us know if this Essay wins any awards. Quote
