Yes I thought HB had made some interesting speculations too, waiting to hear from him. I am not sure where you go from here though. He often looks at things with a different perspective often a bit 'quantum' and therefore hard for mere mortals to understand.

 

It is interesting to note the "clusters" of cancer we are getting in Australia (ABC Women in Queensland; Firemen in Qld?). You wonder if there is not a virus floating around the office or fire station waiting for its chance.

If that was the case you would expect oncologists and medical professionals to have higher cancer rates?? Perhaps not if they don't smoke.

It would be an interesting thing for a Statistician or Actuaries to look at.

 

I think I have read about 3 or 4 types of cancer now being caused by a virus.

 

-O a good one in Sydney recently where people built their house over radioactive waste. ( Now both dead from cancer -a court case is being brought by relatives.)
