ethelberttaylo Posted July 7, 2023 Report Posted July 7, 2023 I set a traditional mouse trap with Peanut Butter as the bait, and waited. The next day I checked the trap and there was a dead mouse in it. It was raining, so I decided to leave the mouse in the trap until morning, when I would dispose of the mouse and reset the trap. The next morning I went to reset the trap and the mouse was gone! These are tough times when you can't even leave a dead mouse in a trap without something coming along and thieving it! Quote
OceanBreeze Posted July 15, 2023 Report Posted July 15, 2023 Two thoughts come to mind: 1) Do you happen to have a cat? 2) (more likely) the trap sprung and missed killing the mouse but did stun it. You only thought it was dead. Next time check for a pulse! Quote
