It seems that you think when one scientist says something, other scientists say "Hey, we gotta support this guy, he's a scientist". That's actually the opposite, whenever someone comes up with a theory, other scientists are very sceptical and they try to disprove it. This is different than you are used to in the religious community where the opposite happens. A preacher says something and everyone is afraid to question what he says. Quote
