We can NEVER, ever, no kidding, not ever-ever know what is actually happening at a distance in another rest frame. I can never think of Relativity and "rest frames" without seeing in my mind's eye the image of a clock and a scientist -- each suspended in a giant metal wire basket, the kind you see french fries being made in. The wire baskets have permanently entrenched themselves in my mind as the icons for "rest frames". B) Quote
