Aki Posted November 23, 2005 Report Posted November 23, 2005 Today, Carl Wieman came to visit my university and he gave a lecture on Bose Einstein Condensate. For those of you who don't know who he is, Wieman won the Nobel Prize in 2001 for his work. His lecture was really interesting. He talked about how he used Rubidium, 6 cheap lasers, and a magnetic field to produce these bosonic BEC. But after a while, it got really complicated and I didn't understand it. Though, the lecture was very enjoyable. This is his website if you want to read about it:http://spot.colorado.edu/~cwieman/ Quote
Tormod Posted November 23, 2005 Report Posted November 23, 2005 Thanks Aki - sometimes the best lectures are the ones we don't grasp. :QuestionM Quote
