Today, Carl Wieman came to visit my university and he gave a lecture on Bose Einstein Condensate. For those of you who don't know who he is, Wieman won the Nobel Prize in 2001 for his work. His lecture was really interesting. He talked about how he used Rubidium, 6 cheap lasers, and a magnetic field to produce these bosonic BEC. But after a while, it got really complicated and I didn't understand it. Though, the lecture was very enjoyable.
