Hello,

 

A little about myself. I am 49, married with two children (21 & 14), and work in the business world to earn my living only. My background and education is in accounting, finance and economics.

 

My non-money-making interests, however, include philosophy (humanities, nature), physics, flyfishing, archaeology, history, reasonable discussions with well-informed well-meaning individuals on topics of interest, and searching for and observing truths. I have limited educational and no work background in science, but I am fairly well read.

 

This seems to be an interesting site. I look forward to learning from discussion.

Very interesting; welcome interested. Well read is never a limit, nor is well said. Clearly you stated a premise, evaluated it, & made the logical conclusion Hypography is the right place. I couldn't agree more.

A belated welcome to you, Interested.

 

To reciprocate, a little about me. I am 45 years old, married with 3 children (26, 22, and 21) and 2 grand children (2 and 4). I’m fortunate to make a living at one of my longest and favorite hobbies, programming computers. My educational background is Math.

 

My interests appear to closely match yours, substituting singing and playing rock and bluegrass music for fly fishing. I have limited education in accounting, finance, or economics (3 hours of general accounting I though a good idea when I was hired in the mid 1990s to write a GL system), but, like you, read a lot (some of it, I hope, well).

 

I hope you find this forum entertaining, edifying, enlightening, and make it a regular online haunt.
