Bio-Hazard Posted December 7, 2005 Report Posted December 7, 2005 Supposedly this term is about giving human emotion to biological components of the body as though they can have the cognitive and emotional capabilities to choose how they are going to have. There is a term for this, but I don't know it. I'd like to. Any takers? Quote
automatic existence Posted December 7, 2005 Report Posted December 7, 2005 Anthropomorphism: also referred to as personification or prosopopoeia, is the attribution of human characteristics to inanimate objects, animals, forces of nature, the unseen author of things, and others. "Anthropomorphism" comes from two Greek words, ανθρωπος, anthrōpos, meaning human, and μορφη, morphē, meaning shape or form. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anthropomorph Edit: You might have thought of the http://Pathetic fallacy which is close to the same thing except that it describes the tendency in literature.
