From a National Institute of Health site: Hair Comes From Where? Whether hair is growing out of your head, arm, or ankle, it all rises out of the skin in the same way. Each hair begins at its hair root, a place beneath the skin where <u>cells</u> band together to form keratin. The root is inside a follicle (say: foll-ick-ul), which is like a small tube in the skin. As the hair begins to grow, it pushes up from the root and out of the follicle, through the skin where it can be seen. Tiny blood vessels at the base of every follicle feed the hair root to keep it growing. But once the hair is at the skin's surface, the <u>cells</u> are no longer alive - the hair you see on every part of your body is <u>dead</u>. <a target=_blank class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://www.kidshealth.org/kid/body/hair_nail_SW_p2.html">http://www.kidshealth.org/kid/body/hair_nail_SW_p2.html</a> Now tell me again. CD27 Posted June 9, 2004 Author Report Posted June 9, 2004 now that's what i wish people would do for me. instead of just blatently telling me that my findings are all wrong and lies, could it be possible to simply give me the evidence that so clearly proves me wrong? or is it too ahrd to follow your very own remarks?
Tim_Lou Posted June 9, 2004 Report Posted June 9, 2004 perhaps NDE = astral thing?????? shut your nose and month maybe can get you nearly dead....lol (just kidding...) hmm....as i read something in the news.about some immature teens playing some very dangerous stuff. (hong kong stuffs) these are said as some supernature stuff on the internet, these people just believe in it. 1. hold your breathe2. someone hit your chest (hm, something to do with the heart). (which makes it worse...) and you will fall into a dream or something....somebody actually tried it (in school) and were sent to hospital... (almost to nearly dead lol.... i think he failed to make it to NDE...) (IT IS SO DANGEROUS, NO ONE SHOULD TRY IT! IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMANDED...)
geko Posted June 9, 2004 Report Posted June 9, 2004 Tim, ive doen that, so have a number of other people that i know of. 1 of them went to hospital. Everybody i spoke to about it said they had a dream of which the memory vanished really quick (myself included). Originally posted by: CD27i listen and many times learn from facts. as this particular time, i just learned that astral projection isn't real. In which case i have no qarms about recommending you a book. The Art of Dreaming - Carlos Castaneda Best thoughts ive read on the idea of astral travelling. ... Well, i couldnt resist could i? Especially after mentioning it in the other thread p.s. shamans say that the astral is a place of negative emotion and shouldnt be sought after. Watch out!
Freethinker Posted June 10, 2004 Report Posted June 10, 2004 If it were not for the desire to make sure accurate information is promoted, I would drop this. RE Hair Cells wanted Dead or Alive! Originally posted by: sanctus4th line of: http://www.psrc.usm.edu/macrog/protein.htm just after the colagen picture: http://www.agresearch.co.nz/scied/search/molecular/dnaprotein.htmThanks you so much for providing additional information on one of the components of a cell. Yes cells are made up of, amoung other things, proteins. BIO 301Human Physiology Cell Structure & Function Proteins: * about 50 - 60% of the dry mass of a typical cell * subunit is the amino acid & amino acids are linked by peptide bonds * 2 functional categories = structural (proteins part of the <u>structure</u> of a cell like those in the cell membrane) & enzymeshttp://www.biology.eku.edu/RITCHISO/301notes1.htm Yes protiens such as keratin are an important part of the Hair Cell's makeup. And when the cell dies, as it does once it leaves the folicule, it is the keratin that gives the DEAD HAIR CELL the structure it has. Now any other confusion over this?

What was your response? You don't want to talk about it. Remember the 10,000,000,000 year old light you see every night? It CLEARLY proves that you are WRONG! Or is it too hard to follow MY remarks? When you decide that you want to carry on a rational discussion, that you will be open to whatever data exists and accept verifyable facts when presented to you, change your "beliefs" when they are proven to be wrong. And provide valid support for your "beliefs" if you feel they are right. Discussions like that are two way.

By taking a deep breath and holding it, you are saturating your lungs with ozygen. This will send a much higher level of ozygen into your bloodstream. Then the sudden impact will force the preassure along the path of least resistance, up the major arteries to the brain. A less violent version is to wrap your arms around and squeeze the chest of the person from behind. The Teachings of Don Juan: A Yaqui Way of Knowledge Then you can skip around. But you need to have a basis for what he is saying. But if he is going to take the time to read something, I would put Carl Sagan's Demon Haunted World at the very top. I think it might even deal directly with RV and AP. If not, it will in something very close. And he would learn so much more factual info than with Carlos. Carlos could drag CD down a path for years.
CD27 Posted June 10, 2004 Author Report Posted June 10, 2004 actually, freethinker, if you go back to the thread "evolution is junk science secular religion" i gave you an answer to your light question, it does NOT rpove that i am wrong.
Tim_Lou Posted June 10, 2004 Report Posted June 10, 2004 geko, i cant believe you've dont it!!! where did you hear these from??? oh well, i guess u didnt make it to nde lol... or maybe you did, but came back too quickly but! plz dont do it again.... its really NOT GOOD.
Uncle Martin Posted June 10, 2004 Report Posted June 10, 2004 Originally posted by: sanctus I f you want to try this, you can also take instead of LSD some psilos (hallucinating mushrooms). sanctus Posted June 10, 2004 Report Posted June 10, 2004 freethinker, I admit you were more right than I was
sanctus Posted June 10, 2004 Report Posted June 10, 2004 CD 27, I just remebered a thing I think it interests you: the dream machine. The first site I found explaining what it is (don't have much time now):http://www.davidwoodard.com/ essentially it is a machine that sends light in acertain frequency (similar to the ones your brain has when you are dreaming) and then you enter in a lucid dreaming state. I always wanted to bulid one, but never took the time to search an 72 turns/minute LP-player for which I would be able to find the plans. If you look it up on the net and find a good link, post it to me as well. Thanks
CD27 Posted June 10, 2004 Author Report Posted June 10, 2004 sure will, sounds quite interesting actually.
