alexander Posted December 23, 2005 Report Posted December 23, 2005 If anyone is into 3d graphics, like Gahd, you should be happy to find out that blender has finally released a new version. With a little help from google's summer projects, blender is now crazified, and i will put it up to 3DSMAX now... i know it's been slashdotted, of course it has, but visithttp://www.blender.org/cms/Home.2.0.htmlthere's release notes and all new really cool features they have added, animation system got rewritten, all in all, its like jumping from OOffice1 to 2... worth it... and installers for any OS: Linux, Windows, OS X and Solaris, are available, ofcourse for free and source is available, if you wanna port :eek2: (a try nonetheless) Tormod 1 Quote
Bio-Hazard Posted December 23, 2005 Report Posted December 23, 2005 I like the program, but there's soooo much to learn. However the community for tutorials is awesome and very efficient with videos, documents, etc. However, I do wonder about it's possibilities in CAM and rapid prototyping.I wonder about it's uses in biological 3d modeling.
