If you are an iTunes user, and haven't checked out the free podcasts available, it's worth your while. PBS, NPR, Discovery, Science Channel, Archeology Channel, and even CBS have science related podcasts in both video and audio. The Archeology Channel blurbs are my favorites so far. Several sketch comedy and music channels are available as well. I've been very impressed.

Can I also recommend the ABC (Australia's Government media outlets) radio Science shows available on podcast. They are of excellent quality:

Also, it is not necessary to have iTunes installed with its tendrils infiltrating far too deeply into the system for my liking (unless your mp3 player is an iPod). There is an excellent open source, freeware Podcast downloader called Juice (formerly called iPodder).
