Ion valve

I wish to build an Ion valve. The goal is to capture RF energy osolations and channel them through a diode.

 

From what I have seen this can be achieved by using some radio active elements or sodium in a vacuum in conjunction with a dipolar antenna.

 

I am going by the work of Dr. T. H. Moray.

 

Any help would be appreciated.

Let me guess: trying to capture ambient resonanant enrgy to get 'free' power?

 

this article is about a telemetric root skin, but the colpitts oscilator diagram in there might help ya a bit, even if it isn't technicly a moray valve.

 

What are you using this for? A detector of some sort?

I wish to detect the ambient EM energy level of the entire spectrum as a whole.

 

I know how to build a tuner for a specific frequency, I just am not sure how to build a receiver that will receive the entire spectrum.

 

The Earth is supposed to be one big capacitor charged with endless energy. This makes sense to me. Lightning is a dissipation of that energy. I do believe that it can be harnessed.

 

Is this not the case?
