Why does Goldschlauger (or however you want to spell it) put gold flakes in their alcohol?

It tastes great, but I almost can't drink it

because the concept of drinking gold

just blows my mind.

WHY!? WHYWHYWH!>

On drinking Gold: you may wish to look into Colloids to mix with your drinks (if precious metals are your thing).

i get drunk once in a while, generally more than a month or two apart. My perferred Poison: Bombay (mmmmbai!) 'Sapphire' London Dry Gin, and 5Star Whisky. captain Morgains Is ok, but not enough kick. I can't stand Beer, and Ale is barely palletable. Hail to the grains!

I probably will get drunk on wednesday, but generally less than once a month and before exams and during I don't drink at all that makes 4 months a year where I don't drink at all.

17 years ago was a completely different answer. I tried to count in 2005 and I think I had a drink on 7 occasions. I am a big time lightweight these days and feel some effect almost immediately - despite my size (6'4" 260#). In 1989 I treated drinking like a competition, and I was drinking to win. When I got married in 1995 I essentially quit (retired from competiton).

Preferred drink was Jose Cuervo Tequila.

My brother visits about once a year and usually brings a six pack. Last time he visited there were still 2 beers left from the year before. I do enjoy a glass of wine with dinner frequently though, especially with Italian cuisine. I can't remember the last time I was drunk but I do remember that it was before I moved here, 10 years ago.

I rarely drink and rarely get drunk. Never been much of a drinker but in my student days I never said no to a change to get swamped. My excuse nowadays is the kids. Plus in the past few years I get a real headache from drinking so I can't go beyond perhaps 2 beers or half a bottle of wine (not both though). Plus I like to have a glass of whiskey - two gives me a baaaaad migraine.

I tasted a few glass of wine back in 1990, did not like neither red nor white, tasted it again in 2000, did not like it then either. If I follow the current trend, I will try again in 2010...

I think that 5 glasses of wine during 34 years is most closely approximated with the option "never drink", so I chose that one...

Seems like everybody here shuns alcohol...

Am I the only pisscat here?

No. I turn 18 in a few weeks and I'm not sure about other countries but here it is cause for celebration - one with copious amounts of fermented carbohydrates.

for a while, it was becoming everyother-everyday

lately, once in a while.

mostly when it is present, which is becoming less frequent

and no one can deny the awesome power of sir Daniel's beautiful sour mash

I have been drunk exactly five times in five decades. Three times by accident. Four times I got REALLY sick. Now I have a 2-drink limit per day, which I never break.

But I do drink every other day on average. I enjoy Irish whiskey on the rocks. A fifth will last me 6 months. I enjoy a glass of Chardonnay, Merlot or Shiraz just after supper, and I keep a small (8 bottle) wine rack populated with my favorite labels. Australian wine is wonderful.
