inside the sun Posted January 31, 2006 Report Posted January 31, 2006 are we scared of its power, i mean its not like weed where you get great ideas of how the world should be, with acid you do them. If we had enough acid im sure there would be a revolution, people be out in the streets protesting, and what not, and they'd enjoy it, and we'd get **** done. Is that why its so illegal? Quote
Drip Curl Magic Posted January 31, 2006 Report Posted January 31, 2006 I've talked about this recently with Orby. I believe that the US government is terrified of what LSD could cause our citizens to do if there were another acid wave bigger than the SF acid wave in the 60's. That's why they keep such a tight leash on people that get caught with/on acid. I think that if you get caught with a hit of acid, it's considered the equivlant of a charge of manslaughter. They use driving as an excuse to keep drugs like this illegal. the government has definately researched drugs like LSD and shrooms. And they realize how much of a free spirit people become when they do these drugs. They are scared of the "revelations" people will have. They know that if everyone in america were to get ahold of this chemical, it'd be a whole new world. People would tear the government down piece by piece. We'd realize that the government is way too powerful. They can tell us whatever they want to tell us. Manipulate us to believe whatever they want us to believe. Get us to do things. And even test weird new chemicals on large groups of society.... without is even knowing. LSD users realize that it's not worth standing for. That's what the hippie movement was all about. Unfortunately, they didn't have enough UMPH to get things done. They thought that more and more people would just join them in sitting around and doing nothing. But that's not how the world works. Unfortunately, I doubt there will ever be enough people willing to try LSD and actually like it to be able to have sucha movement to where we didn't need our government anymore. I mean, I'd love to think that we are evolving out of governmental rule someday, but I doubt I'll see it happen in my lifetime. Who knows, though? Quote
