I've seen a show on discovery about this recently. Pretty scary stuff.

hmmm... 1 week from now.... that'd be pretty cool. but it'd suck at the same time--- All my friends would die.... and I'd still be stuck in the central valley. With no home to go to. Except this aweful house that I'm in.

Another thing.... could a tsunami cause california to "break off" and sink... I've heard tons of theory about how california is supposed to sink eventually because it's like this teetering shelf on top of tons of water. Is there any validity in this? is california hanging on for dear life as we speak? And if so, could this tsunami cause a chain reaction leading to california sinking?

Its a pitty that we cant really tell.. But its a bigger pitty that when it does happen (at some point) there will far too many unprepared and it will be horrific. If only more action and energy was put into security of natural disasters. I know if I lived in the area, Id workout an escape route for one, maybe even an escape pod that would allow my family and I to jump into and seal up so we could float around untill things calmed down. It all seems like nonsense untill it happens, then we act suprised..

lol, what can we do :hihi:

Predictions come & go. A Tsunami isn't going to crack off Cally. The tsunami danger on the West Coast comes from the Cascadia subduction zone, similar in size & form to the cause of the recent Malaysian tsunami.

Be prepared.
