HydrogenBond Posted February 15, 2006 Report Posted February 15, 2006 There is one thing I do not understand, about the comment that the Amazon is the lungs of the earth. Plants have always produced more oxygen then the animals use up allowing net oxygen to accumulat in the atmoshere. Why is the oxygen level of the atmosphere sort of stuck at 20% percent or so and not always on the rise. Humans has been burning things for maybe 10,000 years but only on a large scale for maybe 100 years, yet plants have been around for billions and the oxygen does not keep rising. If one looks at Venus it is able to hold way more pressure in its atmosphere even though it is smaller and much hotter. Quote

CraigD Posted February 15, 2006 Report Posted February 15, 2006 Could you [solve et Coagula] stop just posting random spam and not doing anything more? That, or post it in the ”News in Brief” forum, which is intended just to point draw attention to new articles. To qualify as a news article, though, the linked-to site mustn’t be primarily a solicitation to buy something, as SeC’s threadstarting link is. Linking to such sites is “spamming”, according to my understanding of Hypography rules, and can get one warned and ultimately banned. Quote
