some will occasionaly use a mix between quick speach and 1337 speak to form things that are harder to understand, such as 43v4 where the first four is interpreted literaly as in "for" and the last one is interpreted as an "a" spelling "foreva", those can get discombobulating...

I find a certain cryptological fascination with l33t speak. So much of it is visual that unless you know beforehand, one's mind can, and I'd imagine will, automatically look at each individual character as a discrete entity.

 

I'm not well versed in l33t speak, but I manage to get by ok, given enough time.
