Racoon Posted February 9, 2006 Report Posted February 9, 2006 I am a Sports News Junkie!!! :) my dial is at 1080 AM here.. I fall asleep with it on. I Love the Jim Rome show. There is something so very soothing about a Mariners baseball game on the radio.. :) I used to listen to Coast to Coast, but tired of the ghost chaser stories, and utterly bogus Lochness Monster and Bigfoot type of stories. :) Occasionally there is a few gems in there.I like the Illuminati conspiracy stuff! Radio on all the time! I'll listen to 94.7 NRK fm for new age music. They finally got a Jazz station again.. Jazz station for work. Baseball game for relaxation! :hihi: Quote
Queso Posted February 9, 2006 Report Posted February 9, 2006 Yeah there's this member supported jazz station i'm always tuned into in the car.Sometimes i hear world music on this other channel, and good classic rock occasionally.you know, like led zep and santana. Some college radio stations around here play some trippy stuff, other times it's mindless,a *(Y&@£ING CATASTROPHE i do not listen to commercials,I hear them, and they drive me crazy.THERE'S ALWAYS A FU(((((((((((((ING SALEeverywhereat all timeswe're all going to save! When we buy, today! Queso Posted February 9, 2006 Report Posted February 9, 2006 Oh,Other times i broadcast my guitar sessions (like a pirate) from time to time on a broad range of frequencies at a time. Nobody really knows this, though. I always wonder if anybody really listens. Quote
InfiniteNow Posted February 9, 2006 Report Posted February 9, 2006 I used to get a metal hanger, snip it to about 9 inches, twist the end to use as a handle, heat it with a lighter, and poof.... the stem is magically clear. If we were really hard up, we'd put the resin back in the bowl on top of some tobacco we took out of a cigarette. Ahh... nothing like the headache you get from 2nd and 3rd generation bud. Oh... there's a member supported station or two here in town too that rock. Quote
Racoon Posted February 10, 2006 Report Posted February 10, 2006 You get Shane company in Cali Orbi?I thought that guy was from around here! :) I always flip the station when commercials come on, and go back after 5 or so minutes. S'cool you Pirate out some music OrbY! :hihi: Let us know when your CD hits the shelves! here or in India. oh, I thought those pipe cleaners were called 'street sweepers'the metal tongs that those street sweepers leave behind after a good, loud street sweep.Paper clips work pretty good. I remember Dr Don in the mornings on KFRC. He was the Imus of San Franscisco. And another station had these diamond shaped bumper stickers - they were as omnipresent as Ben Davidson Jeans, Peachy binders and leg warmers. They were gold/black and black/gold. I think it was 98.5 "Where Rock Lives". My dad hated that station and would have a fit when he caught me listening. We knew a bunch of he staff from a local station, KPEN, easy listening that my parents had tooned in all the time, I guess because when the DJ's are having dinner with you twice a week they play your requests within 2 songs. For my parents is was like having the biggest record collection imaginable at the other end of the phone. I wonder what ever happened to "Uncle" Harry? Bill Quote
Mercedes Benzene Posted March 14, 2007 Report Posted March 14, 2007 I listen to either HOT 99.5 on regular radio, or "Top 40" or "80's" on XM. Quote

Monomer Posted March 14, 2007 Report Posted March 14, 2007 I listen to Triple J in the lab when I'm involved in some monotonous task, but if I have to really concentrate I work in silence. At home and in the car I listen to CDs. Quote
