InfiniteNow Posted February 24, 2006 Report Posted February 24, 2006 Has any poll ever received more than 25 votes??Yep... http://hypography.com/forums/community-polls.html Quote
C1ay Posted February 26, 2006 Report Posted February 26, 2006 Those 2 who voted Germany accurately predicted the future.According to the poll there were 3 of us that voted that Germany would win the most. I was one and I think Gahd was another. No idea on the third though. Quote
TheBigDog Posted February 26, 2006 Report Posted February 26, 2006 USA! USA! USA! or Germany.I voted with heart first and head second. My poll vote was for USA. Germany won the medal count in 2002. The USA almost doubled their best medal performance for a foreign Winter Olympics. I am astounded by how some of the European countries dominate particular sports with the small population bases. Goes to show how culture plays into human acheivment. My hat is off to all the athletes! :hyper: Bill Quote
GAHD Posted February 26, 2006 Report Posted February 26, 2006 Well the Olympics are now over...Those 2 who voted Germany accurately predicted the future.Thats right up there with Nostradamus. :hyper: What? You Doubted the Word of GAHD? :hyper: Quote
Buffy Posted February 28, 2006 Report Posted February 28, 2006 Condolences to Tormod's team....From King Kaufman's column today on Salon:Could have been worse, though. We could be Norwegians, who actually care about these sports during the other 206 weeks of each Olympiad, and who won two gold medals here, tied for 13th place with China, one behind Estonia. This would be like the U.S. winning fewer gold medals in a Summer Games than Bulgaria.I've certainly been too busy watching ice skating to post much here for the last two weeks, but now that *that's* out of the way... :hyper: Bugler's Dream, :hyper:Buffy Quote
