kamil Posted February 13, 2006 Author Report Posted February 13, 2006 what a rip, you have to pay to be a member... I know, but i just thought it would be an interesting test to show here. Hahaha, looks like Jay-qu has been the only one to pass the test since the topic has had 16 views but only one reply:hihi: ..... or maybe everyone here is just too modest. Quote
cwes99_03 Posted February 13, 2006 Report Posted February 13, 2006 I visited the website about 4 years ago during my Junior year in college. Scored a 140 on one test and a 144 on another and decided I was bored with the site. Quote
Racoon Posted February 13, 2006 Report Posted February 13, 2006 IQ scores are not really a good predictor of intelligence. To many varieties, and cultural biases to boot. Stanford-Binet tests included...:hihi: Quote
C1ay Posted February 13, 2006 Report Posted February 13, 2006 I took their test 3 or 4 years ago only to learn that I could then pay to be a member and get a T-shirt. To me it appeared to be nothing more than a test to see how many they could separate from their money. Quote
kamil Posted February 14, 2006 Author Report Posted February 14, 2006 IQ scores are not really a good predictor of intelligence. To many varieties, and cultural biases to boot. Stanford-Binet tests included...:eek2: I agree, I mean i see inteligence as mathematical talent( since i am a big fan of math) but others may define it differently. I absolutly owned the math and spatial segment, i answered every quesiton correctly in like 1/10 of the time. But I lacked general knowledge. So i got 129, but the math and spatial inteligence part alone i probably got on the same level as someone of 150+ IQ. So what i mean is that everyone has thier own inteligence, so you cant measure it all-round. Anyways thats my two cents. :) Quote
sebbysteiny Posted June 2, 2006 Report Posted June 2, 2006 I think the test is self defeating. Only people too stupid to pass the test will want to join. Quote
Dark Mind Posted June 6, 2006 Report Posted June 6, 2006 Hey Kamil! Since you're a relatively new member, and don't seem to frequent the site as often as we'd like :), ;), I guess you missed my Thread from a while back, with the exact same concept as this one... Since then, my score has gone up to the 143 range ;). Quote
Tormod Posted June 6, 2006 Report Posted June 6, 2006 I hereby decree that by signing up to Hypography, everyone gets a HQ which is 10,000. This is equivalent to having *two* IQs of 175 and can never(*) be lost. And sponsors get another 10,000 for each $10/year they pay. :) *(Oh, if you get banned it falls to a HQ of 41). Turtle 1 Quote
Jay-qu Posted June 6, 2006 Report Posted June 6, 2006 thats the ticket :) high scores for everyone Quote
arkain101 Posted June 6, 2006 Report Posted June 6, 2006 I agree. IQ tests are not always that great for decifering genious. You have to know how the tests work. When you are supposed to find a pattern and when not. One who has more practice should obviously know what to expect and do better. The highest IQ score I got was 166 on some bogus test and I think I got 101 on the last test, which is because I didnt read directions and had no idea about most of the knowledge questions.. it felt like jeapordy.... what is a salmon...
