adam_rockstar Posted February 14, 2006 Report Posted February 14, 2006 i know that large masses can change the path of light, but i want some science to back it up. what mass and how much will light bend, curve or break?:eek2: Quote
Qfwfq Posted February 14, 2006 Report Posted February 14, 2006 Quite a large mass to have an measurable effect. You could lok up the measurements of star positions during eclipses, the sun's mass deflects the light slighty when it passes near but you need the sun to be in a direction close to that of the star, so you can only see the star when the sun's behind the moon.
