PlayStation 3 launch delayed

The failure last week of members of the Advanced Access Content System (AACS) to reach an agreement on a final specification for anti-copyrighting technology to be used with the blu-ray optical disk drive the console will contain, has cast a haze of uncertainty around the launch date of the Sony’s next-generation game console, the PlayStation 3.

 

This will come as bad news to the 55% of hypographers who voted for it in 4615. Industry analysts are predicting a new launch date of no sooner than Spring 2007.
