Racoon Posted March 2, 2006 Report Posted March 2, 2006 Good Info Infinite. :hihi: Lovin' that Wikipedia. :hihi: So the question becomes; Could you even SEE God, If he exists??show me and I'll believe...:) Quote
arkain101 Posted March 3, 2006 Report Posted March 3, 2006 Diabetes would relate to a nerve problem called diabetic retinopathy. More likely candidates are blood pressure and caffiene intake. Or also, pre-migraine symptoms. However, if you want to look into a less scientifically supported possibility, here ya go: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aura_%28paranormal%29 Well it doesnt appear I have any health problems of that sort. Not to mention there is nothing out there that seems acurate to what it is I see. I decided to see what I could do with photoshop to make a representation of what I see. I think I did a really good job to giving an idea of what it looks like, although this is my best guess since I can only see it happen when my eyes are still so it is like trying to read something in your perifial vision. In an extreme case, this is much what I would see on my hand every movement I make with it. In this case i drew it out as it would look moving my hand in the directino of the arrow at about the speed one would reach for a cup at a dinner table relaxed. Ive always thought it was cool but I never really decided to ask anyone about it. Quote

Tarantism Posted March 3, 2006 Report Posted March 3, 2006 god exists becuase people allow it to exist. just like anything else.so, yes it exists, but not to me. or at least, a concept of god existsi mean, if you went up to a priest and asked him "please sir, describe to me the physical features of god" he wouldnt ever be able to answer.god is simply a concept of perfection.perfection, in my mind, cannot exist.therefore god cannot exist. arkain101 Posted March 3, 2006 Report Posted March 3, 2006 Well that is not nesecaraly true because there are hundreds of versions of god and how it is seen. Whats your best explanation for an existence of this universe. And why specific colors are assigned to specific frequencies, how do atoms know how to create blue and red etc.? think deep Quote
inside the sun Posted March 3, 2006 Author Report Posted March 3, 2006 i'd be down for that vision Quote
InfiniteNow Posted March 3, 2006 Report Posted March 3, 2006 And why specific colors are assigned to specific frequencies, how do atoms know how to create blue and red etc.? think deepBe cautious when humanizing things like atoms, and assuming that they "know" anything. It's not like I knew to be a devilishly handsome, brilliant and loving individual who is a bright shining beacon to all around him... :hihi: Kidding a bit, of course, but the logic you are using seems somewhat stretched. Pyrotex Posted March 3, 2006 Report Posted March 3, 2006 Wow. Has anyone noticed that in a thread for "the existence of God" we wind up discussing optical pathologies and mental illusions? Is that just a coincidence? :hihi: I would like to add something to this mix. I once desparately tried to build a scientific and plausible validation for the existence of God. I thought I was doing really really good until I realized something. The more I refined my "theory of God" the more I had to make "adjustments" to God's interactions with our world to make them look like the workings of ordinary physics and chance. When I finally finished my "theory" it was obvious at that point that leaving God out of it didn't change it at all. I looked at it from another tack. God had to be infinite in the "theory". (It says so right here in small print.) Otherwise, God was just another product of the Big Bang or a mushroom trip. But then, I noticed that if the Universe were chosen as having infinite duration, then anything and everything that you could possibly and plausibly imagine, has not only happened, it has happened an infinite number of times!!! In this extreme, God becomes indistinguishable from Random Chance. This all gave me a severe headache and caused me to see bluish rings of light around my penis, so I quit and became an atheist. Seeing God, UFO's, Virgin Mary; may all well be optical pathologies. Your "theory" sounds interesting...:) Quote
