pokotis Posted March 3, 2006 Report Posted March 3, 2006 What if this is possible?Would it be ethic? It only changes a human if he or her wants to. It does not affect anyone else... or does it? Can this in future produce "BETTER HUMAN?"Anyway it is not nice at least...Why am I asking? I just found this site: http://www.humanupgrades.com and I started to think about it. I mean about the future and so... Quote
Queso Posted March 3, 2006 Report Posted March 3, 2006 well we are going to always be getting "better" because of evolution. I personally think stuff like this is menacing, but people will do it... and if they do it,that means it was going to happen all along; inevitable.and all I can really do then is watch, sit back, and laugh- Quote
GAHD Posted March 4, 2006 Report Posted March 4, 2006 Is this possible? Nifty photoshopping, but it's bull from what I can see. Would it be ethicAL? Shure, like peircing or breat implants. It would be nice if the flesh was that customiseable, I'd like the extra thumb(but I'd ask for all 3 knucles). Quote
Dr.DDunn Posted March 9, 2006 Report Posted March 9, 2006 Asking away, as it seems everyone has their own ethics and views on subjects. DNA munipulation is something that can be achieved so i wouldnt go so far as to call it "bull". DNA is just like spelling, soon enough if they see a "mistake" they will be able to erase and correct it. but i can see it becomeing the victim of controversy and criticism by religious orginisations and so forth. M.J. Posted August 19, 2007 Report Posted August 19, 2007 Well, it depends on what you believe.People would see it blasfemous(sp?) against God by manipulating his creation into something we perfer. Then again, what if it helps the person for a better living? Have you seen the movie "Gattaca"? Its a good movie to watch since it deals with something similar to your question. It involves genetic engineering and its really neat movie to watch. :D [i apologize if my answer seems so simple, but I'm just 15 :(] Quote
