Males between the ages of 12-23 go though "testosterone dementia" where more than two thirds of male deaths are due to accidents and suicides (in modernised countries)

Men are at this time more than three times more likely to die than women

"Testosterone dementia makes maturing males enthusiastic warriors, hunters of large game, or fighter pilots, but poor insurance risks, as the driving records graphically show"

Now that's called upholding the standards...

Please please please tell me the recipe, Boerseun, I swear I'll use it only against international terrorists!

If you don't tell me, I'll use nitroglycerine instead! (I learnt to make it by a special soap making process!)

One cubic kilometer of seawater contains roughly 50 kilograms of gold!..

It's a bugger to get out though!

Bats make up one fifth of all mammal species on Earth.

Women live longer than men in virtually every country and culture in the world.

(Only in the Maldives there is a marginally greater male life expectancy by the time people rech 45)

I was out hunting (spotlighting)

snails in my garden tonight.

I noticed most I squished (I know bad Karma -don't tell the Buddhist thread) were very small.

I have been having an Ethnic Cleansing campaign for a while.

(My best score was 120)

You have to wait for damp nights however and of late we haven't had many.

I then remembered this quirky fact read once in a RHS journal about snails

Apparently the large mature ones secrete a birth-control hormony-thingy that keeps all the little snails small and undeveloped. When you squish all the big ones, there is no more chemical-thingy, and the little snails start to develop.

So buy shares in companies that sell snail bait because they will always be with us

O yes, in OZ we have a cannibal snail that eats plant eating snails. Cool eh!

Gruesome place My Garden.:)

The most effective way of living longer is to get castrated.:)

Inmates of a Kansas mental institution who were castrtaed lived almost 14 years longer than did uncastrated inmates.

Most "fixed" animals live longer- male or female. :)

I think I'd rather forego the last few years of senility and bedpans to keep my nut sack thank you! :)

But yes, please spay and neuter your pets!

Something tells me that the guy who did this experiment needs to be locked away in a padded cell...

You would be locked away now; but apparently it was common in mental institutions in the 30-40s ?.

They didn't want mad genes being perpetuated!

You still hear people arguing that Down's syndrome people should not be allowed to marry and should be sterilised
