In our corner of the Milky Way, the density is such that a sphere with a radius of 200 light years contains 200,000 stars!

Ah. What a number density!

Now lets take the other face of it.

The matter density appears to be around...

[math] 10^{-20} {Kg}{m^{-3}}[/math]

Damn.

Consider the word 'consider':

It literally means "to be with the planets"!

How's that for deep thought?

Fact: No matter its size or thickness, no piece of paper can be folded in half more than 7 times.

Does anyone know the science behind this? :embarass:

no idea, but I have experienced it first hand

The ratio of a number in the fibonacci sequence to the next tends towards the golden ratio (or golden section, golden mean) phi = 1.61803.. this number is has some interesting properties.

Such as:

1/phi + 1 = phi, this can form a quadratic equation and allow for a solution of phi. This ratio comes up a few times in nature,

Eg The ratio of successive phalangeal bones of the digits and the metacarpal bone approximates the golden ratio. It is also claimed that the number of bees in a beehive divided by the number of drones yields the golden ratio!
