I love sports! They are great metaphors for life, and many Valuable lessons can be learned and applied.

I got an "A" in my Sports Psychology class last semester  (tooting my own horn there  )

So I would like to "pick your brains" and gleen more input.

March Madness right now!! love it!

Gonzaga vs. UCLA today!

Baseball season approaching fast...Go Mariners!!

To the point: Vote for your favorite sport. (I only have 10 options though)

add comments as to why you like/dislike

experiences you've learned from sports - whether playing, practicing, coaching, from your kids, etc.. etc..

Occasionally watch? sometimes play? Know someone who does?

Maybe you like an obscure sport?

I am NOT putting Bowling or Billiards down as a sport (although technically they are  )

I WILL put down NASCAR, because of its Meteoric rise to prominence ( and to appease certain Moderators! )

Me?? I LOVE NFL!!! It is by far, without question Americas #1 Sport...(fact)

I played in High-school, and play pick up games sometimes.

Football is my Sunday Church!

There is TONS of Science in sports - so this IS relevant!

I like many different sports, but my favourite is CRICKET!! Now I'm just waiting for everyone (especially Boerseun) to say how boring it is, but I love it. If I had the time, I'd watch all five days of a Test match without missing a ball. You've got to love the intricate physics, geometry and statistics involved in this most magnificent of sports.

I have always had a passion for swimming. I see every event that is telecast during the Olypics.

A bit of trivia, Hockey is the favoite sport of Canada, but is not the Official sport of Canada. That honor go to LaCrosse.

Where's competitive eating? :singer:

:singer: :singer: :singer:

I like that Kobiashi guy from Japan.:)

Theres also this skinny little asian-looking lady(100 pounds) who can out eat 350 pound linemen!! She "trains" by destroying peoples All-You-Can eat buffets!

What they competively eat can be quite disturbing!

> sticks of butter

> jars of Mayonaise

> Hot Dogs - Kobiashi CRUSHED like 50 w/ Buns in like 5 minutes!:cup: He is the Micheal Jordan of Competitive Eating...

I could probably "place" in a BBQ Chicken Wings event! :singer: :secret: :hihi:

You obviously didn't grow up in New York... Those are NATHAN's Hot Dogs... that's a totally different beast all together! :cup:

What I'd love is a White Castle eat-a-thon... Those little burgers kick much ***! :singer:

My dad used to take me there and we'd eat about 22 between us. It's a bit of a nostalgia thing I guess.

I voted for NASCAR, even though my real love is DRAG RACING. I currently campaign my 1972 Dodge 340 in the 1/8th mile drags here locally in Ohio. My best times are 6.70's sec's of elapsed time @ over 100 miles per hour. That's in just 660' my friends. This year I plan to break into the 6.50's at around 106 MPH.....................I just love the excitement of the speed and acceleration..................Infy

Howdy neighbor. I live in the shadow of the Perry Nuclear Plant. Moved here August 2004 from Fort Collins, CO. When my dad comes to town this summer we may head down to the track. He drags too, although at a different end of the spectrum.

That's cool BigD, I'm a transplant from Missouri myself. I've been here since July of 85, the 4th to be more precise. I'll have to look Madison up on the map and check out how far from Crestline you are located. Maybe we could get together for a visit someday?
