Man marries a goat...

Ok, i read this, and just had to say "ewww"! Here's a quick excerpt:

 

A Sudanese man has been forced to take a goat as his "wife", after he was caught having sex with the animal.

 

The goat's owner, Mr Alifi, said he surprised the man with his goat and took him to a council of elders.

 

They ordered the man, Mr Tombe, to pay a dowry of 15,000 Sudanese dinars ($50) to Mr Alifi.

Shouldn't it be the Goats owner who is supposed to give the Dowry??

if he makes the man marry his "goat" ???

I have varying reactions to this story...

 

• Who are we to judge? Different strokes and all that.
  
• If Bill Clinton had done the same act, would it have been sex?
  
• Even strict Islamic culture cannot prevent sex before marriage.
  
• The goat was probably a tease.
  
• What color dress did the goat wear to the wedding?

Mr. Tombe is fortunate he was caught having sex with a female goat – from what I’ve gathered of Sudanese law, he’d be in much worse trouble for homosexuality than bestiality.

 

Which reminds me of an old joke:

So, the Torah rules that he should be put to death, but those Elders said only that he must pay the "father" of the "maid".
