Amber Posted March 28, 2006 Report Posted March 28, 2006 How are cracks and dislocations formed in plastics? Can someone help me find a website that explains this, as I have searched but not been successful so far, or explain to me briefly how this happens. Any input will be much appreciated. Many thanks,Amber Quote
Guest chendoh Posted March 28, 2006 Report Posted March 28, 2006 cracks can be caused by weathering, especially uv rays, stress fractures, and they can lead to dislocations?....not sure what you mean by dislocations. Did you try searching, 'problems with plastics'? If you have a specific plastic in mind, replace its name @ plastics. Quote
Amber Posted March 28, 2006 Author Report Posted March 28, 2006 Thank you. What I meant is stress fractures and how they are formed. Perhaps deformations is a better word instead of dislocations then? I will try searching for problems with plastics, thanks. Quote
