To Ben: Arkain has hit upon a wonderful topic... one that provokes both philosophical and scientific thought and promotes discussion among everyone, including "cranks" such as myself.

Well I am very pleased you think that, both for you and for Arkain. If I can't agree, then I can only apologize.

The lack of logic and rigorous thinking. In short it is waffling, ill thought-out rambling, and "provokes" no particular thought in me

 

Well... Websters dictionary defines the word "creation" as:

"The universe or all things in it"

Then I have to disagree with your dictionary. Creation is, in my lexicon, the result of the act or process of creating one thing from another thing using the laws of nature as they are currently understood. Isn't this how most mortals use the word? Can this "thing" be a "no-thing"? Well, can it? Reveal your true colours!
