Spiked Blood Posted April 1, 2006 Report Posted April 1, 2006 I'm a man of wealth and taste... If I was a well educated man, I would have a valid reason for being here. To be honest, I have no right to be here. I know nothing of science, I'm not even sure how I stumbled into this fine looking establishment. I'm not particularly intelligent, which is something I mask with my sardonic wit. I have a feeling that won't work much around these parts.. so I'll state it now.. I'm an idiot! However, from "god" B) knows where, I have rediscovered a thirst for knowledge I haven't had since childhood. I figure, by osmosis, I could use this forum to greatly increase my limited knowledge. And I think by participating in some of the topics will be more beneficial than just lurking and reading what other's have written. Hello all. Insult me at your peril! Quote
TheBigDog Posted April 1, 2006 Report Posted April 1, 2006 Hey Smart Guy! That was the best insult I could come up with for you. You don't need to be well educated to be here. All you need is a yearning for learning. And a sense of humor is also highly valued. Do you have a special interest, or just seeing where the threads lead you? Oh, and welcome to Hypography! CraigD Posted April 1, 2006 Report Posted April 1, 2006 Welcome, Spiked! I think you’ve come to the right forum.I figure, by osmosis, I could use this forum to greatly increase my limited knowledge. That’s what most of us are here for, in large part. I wouldn’t have too high an expectation of the osmosis method of Science education, though. At some point, one usually has to just study the stuff in something resembling the usual academic way – though the usual academy is optional. I’ve found it a pretty natural process: get frustrated failing to understand some basic Math or Science -> get textbook or pop science book -> study -> satisfaction. Hope to keep hearing from you here at hypography. B) Quote

Insult me at your peril!Welcome Spiked Blood, participation is the name of the game here, learning by osmosis is not as an effective method as sharing ideas can be...............Infy Quote
GAHD Posted April 2, 2006 Report Posted April 2, 2006 Spiked Blood eh? What does that mean, something to do with your blood type?:( don't worry about what you think you do and do not know, as my signature says about the greatest insights... Quote
Spiked Blood Posted April 4, 2006 Author Report Posted April 4, 2006 Do you have a special interest, or just seeing where the threads lead you? Time, gravity...and boobies. Once I figure out these three complexities I feel my life will be complete, and I can die a contented man. I'm already at the :hihi: stage with this site. It's compelling reading, even if I don't understand half (most) of it. Quote
InfiniteNow Posted April 4, 2006 Report Posted April 4, 2006 Anyone else think of the Rolling Stones when they read the subject of this thread? I'm a monkey! :hihi: Quote
GAHD Posted April 6, 2006 Report Posted April 6, 2006 Time, gravity...and boobies. AS you get older, you will notice that the equation T*G=B is actually a declining curve. ;)I wonder what interesting insights you'll bring? Quote
