Ok so

If I don't play guitar for a couple days,

and on the top of that If I don't write

or draw

or...Act for fun,

or do anything that involves creative expression; transferring my energy into something else

 

I GET PHYSICALLY SICK.

i won't eat, i can't sleep

nor will I be able to think positively.

 

The only cure I've found is just playing my guitar,

weather it's slow wet jazz or insane alien UFO noises,

creative expression starts to flow through me

and i feel INFINITELY better!!!

 

It's the whole of my law,

and it's insane how something

evolved and uneccessary

but beautiful, fun, MUSIC!

 

Why does this occur?

Am I the human that just needs to convert all my energy thru strings?

 

I am.

 

And I've been experimenting with improvisation and Marijuana as medicine.

(just like the greatest jazz musicians of all time, duh :confused: )

I've found that my "high" that I get from inducing the herb allows me to be able to convert more energy at a more rapid rate.

Thus yielding WAY weirder structures in my improvisation,

as well as exploring the experimentation possibilities

while also remembering everything I've ever learned

and knowing what notes will do what

but also not knowing what some notes will do

and trying them with a general idea

 

when I sap out of this trance,

my high is gone.

 

I used it all on the music, and it shows......

I am the same way, but my creative outlet is fighting. If I do not spar for a week or so I loose interest, concentration, energy, and cannot sleep.

Nature has no use for the eternally content. It is a cycle of restlessness followed by new experience and therefore growth rewarded by a cessation of the restlessness.

Drugs can temporarily lessen the restlessness but they become less effective over time and a consequently greater dose is required. I suspect you musical growth has stagnated and you are trying to get the feeling the creative outlet used to provide through the shortcut of the pot. I would suspect this is unsustainable as a means of avoiding the restlessness.

Yeah, but "pot" just enhances everything in general.

I think it's amazing that if I play high, after I'm done playing I'm not high at all.

The high induced by the sacred ganja ally herb

has been converted

thru actions of my mind

and body.

Converted to feel

complete ecstacy.

 

Totally sober, exhausted, shot the high out of my fingers like a sorcerer

thru the motions that vibrate thru all of my insane gadgets.

Back to my ears,

and yours if you want.

 

Enlightened with strings,

thru vibrations

and this is my life.

Well, I AM a patient.

Marijuana was perscribed to me.

 

And yeah I love running around naked.

Being naked is amazing,

it's who we are.

And when it's warm enough outside to not wear clothes

i think it's one of the most beautiful feelings.

 

I'm just a human,

interacting with our environment the way I feel is right.

Primitive humans using berries or something, depicting what it's like to hunt.

And then the abstract stuff....

Look how we've evolved....

 

I mean, I get off on making extremely loud UFO noises,

and playing jazz that sounds like it's under water.

Up in the santa cruz mountains I found shelves carved in the sandstone,

on giant rocks that look like they have faces.

I've had that experience many times when I smoked and played,but a few times almost completely lost the ability to play,usually in front of a live audience.

Yes,creative expression :Have you played in bands Orbsycli?In most situations Creative expression is an individual endeavor,not so in a band.It can be nightmare or an overwhelmingly transcendent experience that I have yet to achieve alone.Spot On Spontaneous Composition more than the sum of its parts!I guess my point is that with the help of some carefully selected friends I'm able to be more creative and lose myself in the moment.

Yeah I've played with bands,

Improvisation is my favorite thing (with musicians that understand dynamics, timing, and you know experimenting)
