Pyrotex Posted April 4, 2006 Report Posted April 4, 2006 G)What is "Kwok's" disease said to be an allergy to?It is said to be an allergy to Mono Sodium Glutemate or MSG, though there is still some controversy on this point. Addendum: An "allergy" is technically a histamine reaction to foreign particles in mucus membranes and food proteins in the stomach or gut. Sensitivity to MSG is therefore not an "allergy". It is literally a chemical poisoning caused by intake of an amount in excess of what the liver can process. Quote

Pyrotex Posted April 6, 2006 Report Posted April 6, 2006 2b) What are mathematicians trying to quantify unpredictable systems likely to call "complexity theory"? :hihi: - not quite yet Pyro?? Okay, Ima gonna tryta answer thisun, then I'll quit. Sorry I got carried away with the quiz, but it's yer own dern fault for asking me questions that I knew!I think I will "buy a vowel" -- that is, I would like a re-phrasing of the question to make it clear what it is you're asking for. Complexity theory is the study of "systems" (usually physical systems) that are described by non-linear differential equations. Are you by any chance looking for the phrase, "Butterfly Effect"? ;) Quote
