TheBigDog Posted April 6, 2006 Author Report Posted April 6, 2006 These are some of my favorite readings. I am going to put them in by catagory. The Universe - If I had to pick a thread that is frankly over my head, but shows a great enthusiasm for discussion it would be Redshift z. Where ya at CC? Or you can read my own bit on the topic of an Eternal Universe. Moving to math, or more accuratly Numbers, you must visit with my dear friend Turtle in the Katabatak Cave. You will find not just numbers, but also music, art, animated discussion, some intersting triangles and a most genial host. Or how about Turtle's extensive research into Strange Numbers. Both of these are Turtle originals found only here at Hypography. ;) Like pretty patterns? Try out Fractal Explorations. And if it is deep discussion you want, try Atheism and Faith for some heady discussion of the unprovable. Enjoy Hypograpy! (more to come) Bill Quote

That I waited so long to reply is why I am not a journalist. Certainly I recommend my math threads to everyone, if for nothing else but the always-vote-for-yourself rule. I dare not describe my reading habits as anything other than chaotic, but everyone elses appears random to me. I admit continuing to read the explanations of Dr. Dick over these past many months in the Philosophy of Science Forum.:eek2: The thread I most care to find cogent sapid responses to (naught save eight) is here:http://hypography.com/forums/watercooler/3398-buckminster-fuller.html :Tupac: (not only can I not make a deadline, I can not fill a column:eek: ) GAHD 1 Quote
InfiniteNow Posted April 6, 2006 Report Posted April 6, 2006 Interesting idea... a thread about threads, with suggestions. Hopefully this won't turn into an ego thing, like "Here are links to all of the threads I've created, and here are the links to all of the threads to which I've contributed." However, I find myself still curious about the double-slit thread. I haven't yet uncovered a satisfactory answer on how photons fired one at a time will manifest an interference pattern My first ever thread about what is now "Moments and Events" holds a warm place in my heart too. Cheers. :cup: Quote
TheBigDog Posted May 24, 2006 Author Report Posted May 24, 2006 OK, new favorite thread. Follow the ongoing saga of Space Voyage #1 in the Space Forum. If you get there before June 1st you can even join the crew and enjoy the trip that much more. And while you are at it check out Space Ship Design and add your ideas into the mix. Bill Quote
Jay-qu Posted May 24, 2006 Report Posted May 24, 2006 should try and breathe some more life into the space ship design thread.. might pop over and give it a little bump :naughty: Quote

freeztar Posted June 24, 2008 Report Posted June 24, 2008 Hey, i almost feel left out... i mean not a single link to comp-sci thread ;) Well, then post one. :hihi: My all-time favorite thread here is probably the Hypography X-Prize thread:http://hypography.com/forums/spaceship-design/12819-hypography-x-prize-entry.html It's tough to pick a favorite though with such tough competition.I also really love this thread by Turtle which describes his ecological forrays into a local park:http://hypography.com/forums/environmental-studies/11272-environmental-study-lechtenberg-park.html?highlight=lechtenburg I'll try to remember to post some more later on. :naughty: Quote
