wisdumn Posted August 20, 2004 Report Posted August 20, 2004 this is my first sig but it just means how fast life goes. i just make mine up so that i know it truly expresses me / at least at the moment. Quote
wisdumn Posted August 20, 2004 Report Posted August 20, 2004 i was talking about my original sig. " here is today, no more, no more---" but i've already changed it since then Quote
Freethinker Posted September 23, 2004 Report Posted September 23, 2004 My new tag: "Truth springs from argument amongst friends."-David Hume was found at the bottom of e-mails from my Bio/ Evolution friend Massimo. I don't know if it was a reaction to my discussions with him which indicated an ongoing discussion with others or just coincidence. But it seemed very appropriate for us here. Quote
Tormod Posted September 23, 2004 Report Posted September 23, 2004 Here is one I use for one of my "other" mail accounts: "If the future is here today, what could possibly happen tomorrow?" Quote
IrishEyes Posted September 23, 2004 Author Report Posted September 23, 2004 Freethinker, I can appreciate that new sig. The timing could not have been better. Tormod, I have noticed that one as well, and it always gives me pause. It is either very depressing or very uplifting, but I'm not sure which yet And now I am in search of something new as well. I'll keep you posted... Quote
Tormod Posted September 23, 2004 Report Posted September 23, 2004 On a lighter note...When in college, I had the following written on a small whiteboard on my door: "Why do tomorrow what you can forget today?" Quote
Freethinker Posted September 23, 2004 Report Posted September 23, 2004 OK Tormod, as you have broken the thread and dragged it into discussions from "back in the day". During my hippy days, yes actually the Summer of '69, I owned a milk truck I converted into a hippy wagon. A picture of the Zig Zag Man on each side with the saying: "I should like to be able to love my country and still love justice" Which I have now learned (Ain't Google amazing?) came from Albert Camus. Oh how things come back around! Quote
