IDMclean Posted April 21, 2006 Report Posted April 21, 2006 So I do computer repair and maintence occasionally for a few bucks on the side. I was wonder if any one could help me with finding the specs for a video card's fan as It makes an irrating grating sound. The numbers I pulled off the card are:VT - 9250 (It's an ATI tech, when I googled this I got VisionTek 9250 series, it's a PCI)VTK 195428 The problem is that I looked at the card that they offer and they offer it in both with and without fan, I think I need to replace the fan but I can't find the exact model they use. Any suggestions? Quote
Tormod Posted April 21, 2006 Report Posted April 21, 2006 The ATI card is the reference card, so I think you can use any fan that fits... By the way, did you try to clean the fan? I sometimes use canned air to clean the inside of my desktop computer. Quote
alexander Posted April 22, 2006 Report Posted April 22, 2006 that or a good vacum, and the vacume you can use not only to clean that fan, but also your computer standing near by and the keyboard... btw, i would also recommend taking out the card, marching to the nearest computer store that carries parts and finding one that would fit, basically that's the less headachest way of doing this, i know, i hate stores too, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. p.s. the march is an expression, ofcourse if the nearest store is 20 miles away, you may take your car... IDMclean Posted December 28, 2007 Author Report Posted December 28, 2007 I recently recovered pictures for a friend of mine. The pictures are jpegs and I used "PC Inspector File Recovery" v4.0 by Convar; a few of the pictures are corrupted and I am fairly sure I can fix them, but I just am unsure how. I was hoping that someone might know of good freeware and/or tutorials/DIYS. Quote
alexander Posted December 28, 2007 Report Posted December 28, 2007 well not freeware, but you can see just how corrupted the image using something like that and then decide if you wanna find a freeware version of a similar product :) JPEG Recovery - Repair JPEG photos Quote
